BENIN CITY - Last night

Benin City is a London based Electronic band with a strong focus on socially relevant lyrics. Their new show LAST NIGHT was created as a retaliation to the gentrification in London causing many iconic music venues to shut down. The music was made but what they needed were visuals to play in the background. That was were we came in.

This project brought a new exciting concept to the table. How do you represent social issues with as little visuals cues as possible. We  wanted to strip the concepts and ideas down to their bare bones so it would act as a visual aid rather than a music video.

After working alongside the producers within the theatre company Nabokov we had whittled down our list to around 12 ideas. Using experimental film techniques and special effects a wide variety of content was produced to great effect. Many audience members were especially impressed as well as the band who were over the moon with the videos we created.
